Classic Caprese Salad


mozzarella cheese

Large red tomatoes

Basil leaves

Balsamic Vinegar


Instructions: Slice mozzarella and tomatoes, put a basil leave in between the two, spread on a platter.  Sprinkle a small amount of evoo and vinegar over them, top with ground black pepper.

Option: you can also make a vinagrette to pour over. A simple one with grated garlic, a dash of dijon mustard, evoo and balsamic vinegar w/ S+P works well.  Adding lemon juice or zest in that is also yummy if you have it on hand.
