Steak Soup


Flank Steak (or top round)

Spice Rub: Garlic Powder, Thyme, Cumin, S+P, evoo

Instructions:  Combine the dry ingredients and EVOO and rub the steak.  Leave aside.

Start with a soup pan and heat some evoo, add the onion, make translucent.  Add sliced mushrooms, garlic pickled jalapenos, tomato sauce (1/2 of a large can), beef stock, and cover to simmer.

Grill the steak and slice when done. 

Add the meat to the pot when ready. Add spinach just before serving to wilt.
