Chinese Spagetti and Meatballs


Vegetable oil


1 handful Puff rice cereal/Bread crumbs

1 egg

1 lb ground chicken

1 bunch of scallions

1 t Aged soy sauce

1 package of wheat spaghetti

Sesame seeds (toasted)


1 t 5 spice powder

Pea pods

2 red peppers

2 cloves garlic

Soy Sauce

Toasted sesame oil

Instructions:  Boil the water for the noodles.  Set over to 375 degrees.  Drizzle a baking sheet with a little of the vegetable oil. 

Meatballs: combine in a bowl 2 chopped scallions, S+P, meat, soy sauce, egg, 5 spice powder, bread crumbs, and mix and roll into 1.5″ balls on your baking sheet.  Bake in the oven.

Stir fry: chop the rest of the scallions into 2″ pieces, chop pea pods, chop red pepper, toast sesame seeds if needed, and heat the vegetable oil up HOT.  Add all the veggies and grate in garlic and ginger.  At the last-minute, add the spinach (stemmed and chopped).  Add the pasta with 1 cup of the starchy cooking water with 1/4 cup soy sauce and toasted sesame oil.   Add the meatballs and enjoy!
