Lemon drop moonshine

Amazing. Didn’t know I liked moonshine!

6 cups water
2 cups everclear
2 cups sugar
2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 8 lemons)

Dissolve the sugar in warm water, let it cool. Add the lemon juice and alcohol. The more it sits, the more mellow.

    Does this need to be refrigerated if not immediately consumed? How long will it keep for fresh?

      Yes, I would refrigerate this. I made this a week in advance so it wouldn’t be so strong and it was great. With all the alcohol I would think it’d keep well for a couple weeks.

    Staring with 200 proof shine, then cut 3 times with that much water, plus the lemon juice, you’re not really drinking shine any more. You’re drinking spiked lemonaid.
